![]() Nestlé Purina Petcare Continues to Help Pets Affected By Hurricanes9/24/2004 St. Louis, Missouri, September 24, 2004 - Nestlé Purina PetCare announced it has donated more than 120 tons of Purina brand pet food products to help the four-legged victims of Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan. After Hurricane Charley hit Florida, Purina dispatched several truckloads of Purina ONE®, Purina® Dog Chow®, Purina® Puppy Chow® and Purina® Pro Plan® dog and cat food to locations in Southeast and Central Florida. In addition, Purina distributed several tons of Pro Plan® brand dog and cat food at the request of the State of Florida’s Emergency Response Team. Since then, Purina has distributed pet food to animal shelters and organizations in Florida, North Carolina and Alabama, as well as the island of Grenada.
